Biohazard clean-up, response times and what we remove
These answers cover the biological risks we handle, how quickly we can attend, what happens to the waste and how you are charged.
What types of biohazard contamination do you actually clean up?
We handle blood spillage, bodily fluids, vomit, faeces, sharps, drug paraphernalia, rodent droppings and decomposition scenes. That includes domestic rooms, vehicles, commercial premises and communal areas. If you are unsure whether your situation falls under biohazard cleaning, call and describe it plainly — we will tell you honestly.
How quickly can you get to a property after I call?
For urgent incidents we aim to attend the same day across our service area, and often within a few hours. Non-urgent jobs are usually scheduled within 24 to 48 hours. The exact time depends on your location and our current bookings, so we confirm a realistic window when you speak to us.
Do I need to stay out of the property while the clean takes place?
Yes, for most biohazard work you should stay out of the affected rooms until we finish. We seal the area, wear protective equipment and control the airflow, so we ask that only our technicians enter. Once the clean is complete we tell you when it is safe to return.
What happens to contaminated waste once you have removed it?
We bag, label and transport all biohazard waste in line with current regulations, and it goes to a licensed disposal facility. You receive documentation confirming the removal and disposal, which is useful for landlords, insurers and letting agents who need a record of the work.
Will my home or business look and smell normal again afterwards?
Our aim is to return the area to a clean, habitable condition. We remove the contamination, disinfect surfaces and treat lingering odours where possible. Some materials, such as porous flooring or soft furnishings, may need replacing rather than cleaning, and we will tell you if that is the case.
How is the price worked out and will my insurance cover it?
We base the price on the size of the affected area, the type of contamination and any access difficulties, and we give you a written quote before starting. Many household and commercial policies cover biohazard clean-up; we can provide an itemised invoice and photographs to support your claim, though cover is your insurer's decision.
